Orientation Day 03

Posted on May 31st, 2007 in say say say

Yesterday’s orientation was intensive. So intensive that I’m only writing about it today. Though it has been an ultra tiring brain draining 3 days, it was certainly the most educational one as well. The professors that were speaking to us were all really knowledgeable and also interesting and they even got 2 from Mit to speak to us, one of which was professor fredo . He’s a famous researcher who has published 25 research papers in the last 8 years and wow. His research is really something. We were all wildly impressed by it. He looks kinda crazy though haha but i guess it goes hand in hand with his research.

Ya so for the past few days , we have been hanging around the starbucks in vivocity for quite a bit. Just to relax and get coffee cause we were really tired and had work to do later. Fezz was crazy over this jap girl we spotted lol. But sad to say, she didn’t even look our way. Alright 10 more days to hello america goodbye singapore.

Orientation Day 01

Posted on May 28th, 2007 in say say say

So Orientation started today in Nus and I must say it was much better than I had anticipated. There were more fun people than I thought and we even found someone of the same frequency. Fez is quite a cool and talkcock fellow. I guess MIT is going to be fun. Really looking forward to it now.

Any idea how it feels like being chased by a lion? Well I had a simulated experience in my dream. I was rollerblading leisurely and next thing i knew, there was this hugeee lion running towards me. So obviously I had to run for my dear life and I made as many twist and turns as I could so that the stupid lion couldn’t get me but you know , it really felt like I was going to die. lol. So in the end , I managed to lose that beast for a sec or two . Just enough time to dash into a lift and say “goodbye sucker” to that king of the hdb flats.

It’s just bizarre and surreal. Hdb flats and lion?? lol. It’s one of the rare occasions though, that I was in full control of my dreams and not feel handicapped like before. So what is this dream saying? That I will achieve greatness? lol . I would like to think so. Anyway damn ..i woke up so late again. It’s gonna be a work work work day. Everyone please wish Samantha a very happy birthday !!

For those who hates George bush. This is for you.

Dua Tau the man!!

Posted on May 22nd, 2007 in say say say

LOL. Dua tau was so nice today. He bought me this limited edition concert dvd and cd of Cheer Chen! I totally didn’t expect it. He says it’s 5 years worth of bday present and farewell present to america. But 5 years? ermm lol. Nonetheless it was great of him. Thanks Mr Loo. You made my day. Not in a gay context though.

Social network

Posted on May 16th, 2007 in say say say

The wonders of social networking. What can I do without my friends in vivocity lol. It’s really important to know people when you are working in a shop ALONE. Or Who will jaga your shop while u go to the toilet or kindly buy lunch for your poor growling stomach. Dear Dua tau joined the list of the vivo network today. He paid me a surprise visit and offered to buy lunch lol. It was nice of him. Anyway he should work in vivo more right big head. I’m still bored though. Anymore stories to share? lol. Cel from you this time?

And finally mda decides to send me a confirmation letter! lol. about damn time.

Yashica Electro 35

Posted on May 14th, 2007 in Arty Fart photography

After much anticipation, I finally got my yashica electro 35 and guess what. It wasn’t working! lol. Turns out that it has been bumming around so much that the electrical circuit inside has been corroded. Ebay stuff..I had to fork out another 100 bucks to get it fixed. But I guess it’s still worth it. Looks great externally. Anyway It was the first time using a rangefinder for me so most of the photos were less than perfect. Here are some of them.
